Olive Oil vs Coconut Oil

Olive Oil vs Coconut Oil
Oil is a very important ingredient in your kitchen. From fried foods to salads, oil's are present in most dishes. The question now would be what is the best oil to use for a healthier dish?  Also you should consider taste.
When using oil in cooking they become somewhat unhealthy and turn into hydrogenated oils. Hydrogenated-oils are the end product of oils when they're placed under really high temperature. These turn into trans-fat and these kinds of fats are major contributing factors in causing heart failures and/or heart diseases.
Olive oil would be deemed the healthier choice. Per an article by Everyday Health Olive oil has more "good fat," monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, than virgin coconut oil. For example, 1 tablespoon of olive oil contains 11 grams (gm) of monounsaturated fat and 1 gm of polyunsaturated fat. In comparison, a tablespoon of coconut oil contains 0.1 gm of monounsaturated fat and 0.25 gm of polyunsaturated fat. In a quick analysis, olive oil has 5 to 10 times the amount of good fat we need to consume.
Olive oil has less saturated fat than coconut oil. Saturated fat, particularly from animal products, can increase our bad cholesterol (LDL), and increase risk of developing atherosclerotic plaques and coronary artery disease.
I personally use olive oil for just about all my cooking and sautéing.  I love frying eggs in olive oil, give it a try.  And you would never make Aglio e Oilo  with coconut oil.  When I am using my wok I always stir fry with coconut oil.  I think the coconut oil has a better tasty for stir fry.
In conclusion I prefer olive oil over coconut oil. The experts say olive oil is healthier but coconut oil is not far behind.
