Giving Back
My wife and I believe in giving back. We volunteer at our little Italian church San
Antonio. Friday we helped make Italian Bow
Tie cookies for our bake sale. This is a basic recipe, every
Italian home has a version of this recipe.
6 eggs
6 tbsp of oil
3 tbsp of sugar
4 – 5 cups of flour
2 tbsp of vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
Oil for frying
Homemade Icing
Combine flour, sugar, salt, eggs, oil and
vanilla. Divide into small pieces
of dough, using a hand crank pasta machine roll very thin. Cut the dough into 5 inch
long by 1 ½ inch wide strips place a slit in the middle and pull one end thru to form a bow tie. Deep fry until lightly brown in color. When the
cookies cool cover with icing.
